The process is more complicated than it seems. Drawing on denim’s small, uneven surface requires extensive trial and error. Peter Gunny, founder of Gunnystraps, spent countless hours perfecting the paint solution to achieve flawless strokes. He experimented on blank canvas first, then on a dummy denim strap. After many tests, he ensured the result met Gunnystraps’ high standards. The artist team closely monitored the consistency throughout.
