Safe in water*: Yes, the strap is perfectly safe to be worn in water(swimming,diving,etc.) However it will still make the strap wet and the color will slightly fade. Furthemore it will give a better vintage effect on the strap. Although this is actually what they hope for.

The Canvas Series History

The Canvas Series started with the “Canvas Verte” in 2013. Gunny Straps had only been making straps from leather since the begining. Peter Gunny, as the founder, has been perfecting the vintaging method for him and his team, only on leather surfaces, which is where the inspiration came from.

In March 2013, Peter decided to take on a challenge, and to hand-vintage a canvas surfaced strap and created the Canvas Verte. This led to a very high demand and went on to be our #1 best seller for 2 consecutive years since launch, and we decided to expand the Canvas Verte into numerous Canvas Series.

This Series is a collection of 12. Each number represents the color of the canvas (from No.1-No.12). Each piece is handcrafted and hand-distressed, making it individually unique between each piece. Over time it will look even better as it is naturally vintage, especially when used frequently underwater. This is the right choice for vintage and hardcore enthusiasts.
