Before this moment, Gunny Straps had exclusively crafted leather straps—where Peter Gunny and his team had spent years perfecting their signature hand-vintaging method on leather surfaces. In March 2013, Peter decided to experiment with applying the same hand-vintaging artistry onto canvas, creating the very first Canvas Verte. The response was overwhelming—it became our #1 best seller for two consecutive years, inspiring us to grow the collection into the full Canvas Series.
This series consists of 12 variants, each number representing a unique canvas color (No.1–No.12). Every strap is fully handcrafted and manually distressed, giving each piece its own character and identity.

Saw a video on Gunny Straps’ instagram about this strap. I know it looks great but I was skeptical if it would be comfortable because it looks thick. Apparently, that thought was unnecessary because despite it looking stiff, it is one of the most comfortable canvas strap that I own, and it hasn’t even been a week yet to pass the break-in period. It’s amazing!
