The Canvas series started with the Canvas Verte in 2013. Before this, Gunny Straps had only been making straps from leather. Peter Gunny, as the founder, has been perfecting the vintaging method for him and his team, only on leather surfaces, which is where the inspiration came from.

In March 2013, Peter decided to take on a challenge, and to hand-vintage a canvas surfaced strap and created the Canvas Verte. This led to a very high demand and went on to be our #1 best seller for 2 consecutive years since launch, and we decided to expand the Canvas Verte into numerous Canvas Series.

This Series is a collection of 12. Each number represents the color of the canvas (from No.1-No.12). Each piece is handcrafted and hand-distressed, making it individually unique between each piece.
